Australia Day 2011

On Australia Day, we come together as a nation to celebrate our diverse society and landscape, our remarkable achievements and our bright future.  It is also a chance to reflect on our nation's history, and to consider how we can make Australia an even better place in future.

The City of Ryde invites the community to get into the spirit of Australia Day and join us for a day of celebration.

City of Ryde Australia Day Ceremony

Where: Civic Hall, 1 Devlin Street, Ryde
When: 10 - 11.30am

The 2011 Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year will be announced at our special Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, when we will welcome 50 new citizens. There will also be an address by our Australia Day Ambassador for 2011.

Australia Day Family Concert  and Fireworks

Where: North Ryde Common, Cnr Twin & Wicks Roads
When: Concert starts 5pm.  Fireworks at 9pm

End the day with City of Ryde's annual family concert at North Ryde Common. There'll be rides and refreshments and a great line up of entertainment, ending with a spectacular firework display.

  • Silverama
  • Robertson Brothers
